One Of The Best Money Making Ideas - Sell Jewelry NY!

Unless you have been living under a rock for the last 2 years or so, you have probably heard of the term “sell jewelry NY!” or sell gold online or cash for gold - these are all in reference to selling your gold for cold hard cash! Who doesn't love cash!?! I know I do, but what I didn't know was really how easy and lucrative this really is! I did a quick calculation for something like a small amount of gold and my jaw literally dropped!

Actually, I found out that you’re allowed to sell every kind of jewelry known to mankind not just gold. You could sell old pieces you have around the house that are silver, sterling silver, gold, yellow gold, platinum, and just about anything else besides nickel plated stuff. If you want to sell gold online you should first start with a few items around your home. Once you see that this really does work and you can get cash for gold you can start to really work at getting more items. Try visiting garage sales and flea markets.

These are going to be from people that simply want to get rid of the item and could really care less how little you pay! Heck, you could even go to a site like eBay, find some SUPER cheaply priced items (enough to make you a return profit) buy them up, and prepare to sell jewelry NY!

Sell Gold for Cash. Items that we bought last week for mucho dinero

Sell Gold for cash. Don't you like the sound? At Global Gold and Silver we give you tons of cash for your gold. Tons of cash. Yup. We like gold... it’s shiny.

Many people wonder what kind of gold we’re usually buying. So in order to get things straight, here are a few items that were brought to us last week and got top cash.

For example, this was a nice item:

It’s a golden Porsche that was brought in by a Russian oligarch. He asked if he could FedEx it with insurance because it’s hard to find parking near our NY location. Anyway, it’s covered with 40 pounds of pure gold and if you have one of these and you just don’t use it because you take public transportation to work – bring it in and sell gold for cash!

Oh yes and one more thing. We just wanted to make sure that you guys understand that we don't do food. Well, we can't pay you guys if you bring in food! Unless it's the item that came in last week with this lady with a doggy bag. She said the restaurant wouldn't take it back:

It's a $26,135 dessert, a bit more expensive than McDonald's Carmel Sunday. She got got this yummy treat over at Serendipity 3 in the Upper East side. The pudding was sprinkled with 23-carat edible gold dust and the lady said it tasted funny. So we scraped the gold and ate the rest together.

Okay now seriously, if you want to work with one of the best, most respected New York online gold buyers, visit www.jewelryscrappers.com today.

At Global Gold & Silver you’ll work with smart, trustworthy professionals who will do everything they can to make sure you get top dollar when you sell your gold for cash!

Four Reasons for the Rise in Selling Gold Online

It’s a fact that more people are selling their gold online than ever before, but why? There are a number of interesting factors that have led to the rise in selling gold online that have taken the industry to new heights over course of the past couple of years.
  • An unstable stock market. Good, hard-working people have seen their “sure fire” investments in stocks and bonds lose a good portion of their value in the past year. With so much turmoil surrounding the stock market, gold has become a go-to commodity for those who need money. This has, consequently, led to growth in selling gold online.
  • Technology advances. Secure, fast and easy transactions on the web have become so commonplace that most people don’t give a second thought to doing business such as gold sales online, from the comfort of their home.
  • News media. There has been a lot of news coverage about selling gold online and people's attention was drawn to the service, which has helped grow the business of reputable dealers across the United States.
  • Speed. The best online gold buyers in New York, Los Angeles and other major metropolitan areas can turn around a gold sale quite quickly. Once the individual seller has packaged the material and sent it in to the dealer, it may take as little as a few days to get an appraisal and then a check. This increased transaction speed has helped bring many new customers into the fold.
For New York’s best gold sales, work with Global Gold and Silver! At www.jewelryscrappers.com, you’ll get all the information you need to sell your valuables – without leaving the house!

Got a pair of Diamond Drop Earrings? We'll pay 8.5 million. Cash.

People often want to know how much we pay for Jewelry. Well, the answer depends on several factors, like purity of the gold, weight and some times even the manufacturer counts. We can tell you how much is an ounce of gold is worth, but you can understand that there is no definite answer.

Well, maybe there is actually. If, for example, you bring us a Blue Diamond, we can probably give you 7.8 million dollars.

7.8 Million dollars. That's the price given to this diamond at a Sotheby's auction in Hong-Kong. This rare, flawless diamond holds the record of the most expensive jewel of its kind.

We can also say that if you'll bring in a pair of Diamond Drop Earrings by Harry Winston, probably the world's most expensive jewelry, we might be able to offer you 8.5 million dollars.

You've seen these babies on Beyonce or any other celebrity that said pretty "please" to Mr. Winston before going to the Oscars. By the way, he lives at 371 N. Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, California. Wanna give it a shot?

In the meanwhile, if you have a small goldmine at home (doesn't have to be a Blue Diamond of course,) you can bring it over to Global Gold & Silver and get some easy cash. We don't know about the 8.5 million dollars in cash, but we're sure that we can work something out.

Want to know your diamond's worth? Here are the 4 Cs of Diamonds

Here’s an easy way to understand diamond value. “The 4 Cs of Diamonds” is how we like to call it in the industry. The 4 Cs are:
  1. Cut - refers to your diamond’s general look. Simply look at the finish, see if the diamond catches the eye and if it flashes in the light.
  2. Clarity – Most diamonds have flaws and inner flaws. How visible these flaws are? That’s what determines clarity. Clarity describes the purity of the diamond when F stands for flawless, IF for Internally Flawless and then VS for Very Slightly or S for Slightly, when obvious inclusions are marked by an I for Included.
  3. Color – a fine diamond shouldn’t have any color to it. Colorless diamonds are extremely valued since they allow the most refraction of light. The range starts from colorless and goes up to yellow.
  4. Carat – is the weight of the diamond, subdivided by 100 points.
Every one of these factors can change the value of your stone. People tend to think that Clarity is the most important character in a diamond, but it is the color and cut that make a diamond truly unique.

Don't throw your old silverware! You can sell silver for cash online

After reading a few of our blogposts, well, actually after reading all of our blogposts, we noticed that we only talk about gold, gold and gold. But there’s another precious metal which we love and appreciate and it’s even a part of our company’s name: Silver.

Take a close look at your jewelry or silverware. It probably says Starling Silver, right? Starling silver is an alloy of silver. Starling silver contains 92.5% silver and 7.5% of copper or other metals. Adding a small amount of copper to silver, gives the precious metal strength and functionality, while maintaining silver’s natural beauty.

If your silver jewelry reads .999 Silver then you have fine silver in your hands. Fine silver is 99.9% silver, therefore it's called .999 and it has a wide range of design versatility. Jewelry made of Sterling Silver is sometimes plated with .999 fine silver and get a shiny look.

Although silver prices are lower than gold’s, the metal is still quite valuable and fashionable and you can sell silver for cash online. If you are not sure about your silver’s worth, you can come by Global Gold & Silver where your silver will be tested for purity, free of charge with any obligation to sell. We buy all silver service, silver flatware, commemorative silver items and silver coins, and provide you with cash, on the spot.

Global Gold and Silver Reviews. Sell gold jewelry with confidence!

It’s not that we like to toot our own horn (well, sometimes we do…) but we get so many great comments from you guys lately, so we thought we might publish what a few happy gold sellers wrote about us.

“A friend told me to avoid cash4gold when selling jewelry for cash,” writes Mark Sanders from New York, NY. “I wanted to sell gold jewelry in Manhattan and found Global gold & silver, They tested, weighed and valued my gold with no obligation... thnx again Steve - $1687 (!) for a gold chain, bracelet and a broken earring was $800 more then my local jeweler.” Yes Mark, that’s what we’re here for. And we are always telling you guys that you won’t get a good deal at your local mom and pop jewelry store.

Rosie said that “After reading the reviews on this site I figured I'd give Global Gold and Silver a try. Everyone was on the money. Thanks for the advice. It was a pleasure dealing with Steve, he was more than fair. Also, they are in a great location in Midtown Manhattan.” And aren’t we proud of our Manhattan location that allows you to drop in, do business the old fashioned way and get lots of cash in the good modern way.

And who said that having a bunch of ex-boyfriends is a drag? Not Lauren: “Who would have thought that spring cleaning could yield cash results? I found some old necklaces and earrings from past boyfriends and stuff that's just not my style anymore or broken and decided to try and sell, well it was worth $1270...from junk to hello cash, Thanx guys you’re the best”

Need we say more after these wonderful Global Gold and Silver reviews? Bring in your unwanted gold and jewelry and give yourself the best present this High Holidays season – a great big pile of cash!

Have the time of you life (and make some money while you’re at it...)

Here’s your next party idea: think about getting all your friends together at your place, making those lovely appetizers they love so much, sit around, chat, have a drink and everybody goes back home with hundreds extra of dollars or even more, cash.

No, it’s nothing illegal… It’s called a Gold Party and it means that all your friends or family bring in their gold for your party and meet with a representative that comes over to your home. The representative test, weigh and pay for all the gold, in cash, on the spot and everybody is happy.

Gold means everything – coins, jewelry, rings, gold necklaces, anything that’s hidden in the old jewelry box can be worth a lot of money. You can also sell your gold for cash or sit down and watch everybody having a good time and still earn some money. How? Well, as a host you will receive 10% of all the gold that was purchased at the party. Sounds like a good deal!

if you're interested in having a gold party, visit Global Gold & Silver or give us a call at (800) 610-9425 and get ready to have the time of your life, and some extra cash.

Gold. What is it? Why we love it? How much does it worth? And why is it so expensive?

Gold was always a highly coveted element. It was used since the beginning of recorded history for precious jewelry, sculpturing and ornamentation. It’s one of the softest metals and does really care about air or water like many of his metal friends.

It is estimated that over the years, we've mined a total of 160,000 tonnes of gold and today gold is present anyplace where there are people and man-made products, from medicine, food, electronics and even your wedding finger.

Like many precious metals, the gold’s weight is measured by troy or grams. The day’s gold value is known as the London PM Gold Fix. The purity of the gold is measured with “carat” or “karat” when 10kt is 41% percent pure, 14kt is 58% pure, 18kt is 75% pure, 22kt is 91% pure and finally 24kt is 100% pure.

So for example, if gold is trading at $1000 per day and your selling gold that's 14kt pure - then its value is $580 less the refiner cost to melt, refine and any profit they look to make.

Why is gold so desirable and expensive? Maybe this interesting video can help:

How to choose a reputable Gold & Jewelry buyer?

When you Google the words “sell gold for cash” there are 20,000,000 results. So what are you supposed to do? How can you choose between 20,000,000 options? It may seem almost impossible but if you follow a few smart steps, we assure you that a safe and profitable transaction is waiting for you:
  1. There are a lot of scammers and illegitimate businesses so a good starting point is to check if the business has any professional member affiliations to BBB (Better business Bureau,) Trust-E, or JVC (Jewelers Vigilance Committee.)
  2. Google the company’s name with the word "reviews" and search for positive or negative customer reviews. Try to google the company with words such as “fraud” or “scam” and see if any weird results come up.
  3. Is the company a real, registered company? Every reputable gold and jewelry buyer is required to be licensed!
  4. Beware of “too good to be trues.”
  5. Can the dealer accommodate consumers both online and in person? Legitimate buyers require a physical address for processing.
  6. After you send the gold, will the company just mail you a check or do you have a chance to decline their offer and get your gold back?
At Global Gold & Silver we believe that transparency builds trust between us and the consumer and the buyer. So before you decide to transact business with any establishment, you are strongly advised to research their legitimacy. Look online for customer reviews, ask your friends and family, or just head on to www.jewelryscrappers.com and sell your gold with confidence.

What is Jewelry Consignment?

A couple of years ago I bought my wife this piece of jewelry that (guess what) she never wears. So I wanted to sell that back and found out that there are many ways to sell jewelry - on and off line. My friends told me to go to the local jeweler or try eBay and craigslist. The problem is that I was never good in negotiating and usually I don’t get the best price and tend to be too soft when closing the deal…

After some research I found out about this Service that’s called Jewelry Consignment. It means that I give my jewelry to a seller; he sells it and pays me a portion of the money that he got for it. Most of the jewelers offered me anything between a 50/50 to 70/30 split and I wasn’t that happy. Then I found Global Gold & Silver which offered me a 90/10 split! I got 90% of the proceeds and they handled all the expenditures and ad costs. And if your wife decides that she wants that piece of jewelry back and it wasn't sold yet - you can get it back.

If you’re stuck with a piece of jewelry and don’t really know what to do with it, or if you have any questions about selling, consigning or scrapping your jewelry, please don’t hesitate to call (212)-575-2975 or email Global Gold & Silver.

How much is a diamond worth? How to sell diamonds online? Is it complicated?

Selling diamonds shouldn’t be more complicated than selling gold. As long as it’s done with a reputable business, selling your diamond is easy, and in most cases you can have cash in hand, on the spot.

The first step you should take is gather information about your particular diamond. Diamonds come in various sizes and carat weights; they have different colors, clarities and other classifications that eventually tell its worth.

This is how diamond quote form looks like:

After you fill up the details of your diamond, and provide a contact phone number or email, a certified diamond gemologist will contact you with a cash offer.

What do we pay for diamonds? Good question:

Not bad, right? If you accept the offer, we will meet you and pay you cash immediately upon verifying the details of the diamond. It's as simple as that.

If you would like more information about selling your diamonds or gold with Global Gold & Silver, you can Call (212)-575-2975, use our contact form or visit us online at www.jewelryscrappers.com
