How to choose a reputable Gold & Jewelry buyer?

When you Google the words “sell gold for cash” there are 20,000,000 results. So what are you supposed to do? How can you choose between 20,000,000 options? It may seem almost impossible but if you follow a few smart steps, we assure you that a safe and profitable transaction is waiting for you:
  1. There are a lot of scammers and illegitimate businesses so a good starting point is to check if the business has any professional member affiliations to BBB (Better business Bureau,) Trust-E, or JVC (Jewelers Vigilance Committee.)
  2. Google the company’s name with the word "reviews" and search for positive or negative customer reviews. Try to google the company with words such as “fraud” or “scam” and see if any weird results come up.
  3. Is the company a real, registered company? Every reputable gold and jewelry buyer is required to be licensed!
  4. Beware of “too good to be trues.”
  5. Can the dealer accommodate consumers both online and in person? Legitimate buyers require a physical address for processing.
  6. After you send the gold, will the company just mail you a check or do you have a chance to decline their offer and get your gold back?
At Global Gold & Silver we believe that transparency builds trust between us and the consumer and the buyer. So before you decide to transact business with any establishment, you are strongly advised to research their legitimacy. Look online for customer reviews, ask your friends and family, or just head on to www.jewelryscrappers.com and sell your gold with confidence.

Remember what mama said: Never put your jewelry in mailbox!

You’re planning of selling some of your old jewelry. Good for you! After doing research you notice that many online gold buyers claim high insurance to protect your valuables. All right. You’ll pay in order to make sure that your jewelry is secured. But is it really safe to mail jewelry? Ouch… Don’t even use the words mail and jewelry in the same sentence!

Why would you want to take the chance of putting your valuables in a post office box, where it’s not insured? People who ship via a U.S. Postal Service drop box have no proof the package has ever been mailed or arrived. Why take a chance?

That’s why we encourage you to use Global Gold & Silver, because your valuables are insured for $1000 and shipped via FedEx, not the U.S. Post Office.

Unlike many of our competitors we will never ask you to drop valuables in the mail box since there is no proof it was ever mailed that way! Instead we trust FedEX to provide their unmatched tracking and Insurance of your valuables. Should you require additional insurance for your gold, diamonds and jewelry simply contact us and we will handle it.

Oh… And YES, it’s all FREE!

If for any reason you are not satisfied with our offer for your valuables then simply say so and we will return the items at no charge! If you would like more information about selling your diamonds or gold with Global Gold & Silver, you can Call (800) 610-9425, use our contact form or visit us online at www.jewelryscrappers.com

P.S.
Hope you didn't freak out if you watched the video... Don't worry, it was a hoax and the drop box is just fine...

How to sell jewelry online for cash?

It’s sad but true - many people feel like their jewelry is "fine jewelry" that can be sold for a premium price. The fact is that the value of jewelry is mostly sentimental one… Turns out that 90% of all jewelry sold in America ends up melted at a refinery! So when you sell your jewels, they probably won’t end up on somebody else, well maybe they will, but not in the same form.

So first of all, try to sell your jewelry around. Show them to your friends, family, coworkers or acquaintances since they know and trust you, there's a better chance of getting the most for your jewelry. You see, jewelry is in the eye of the beholder, in other words someone loves it he will pay more for it and that is why the private sale is probably the best choice for selling jewelry.

If you still decide to try selling jewelry to the outside world, start by gathering any receipts, certifications or appraisals for the jewelry you want to sell. If you don’t have any paperwork you can get your jewelry appraised by a reputable jeweler.

If your jewelry is in style, antique, estate or signed by a reputable designer, bring them over to www.jewelryscrappers.com - we are here to help you get the most cash for your jewelry. At Global Gold & Silver we know that some jewelry is not just scrap and we treat each fine jewelry heirloom as a unique piece, just as we treat our customers.

What is Jewelry Consignment?

A couple of years ago I bought my wife this piece of jewelry that (guess what) she never wears. So I wanted to sell that back and found out that there are many ways to sell jewelry - on and off line. My friends told me to go to the local jeweler or try eBay and craigslist. The problem is that I was never good in negotiating and usually I don’t get the best price and tend to be too soft when closing the deal…

After some research I found out about this Service that’s called Jewelry Consignment. It means that I give my jewelry to a seller; he sells it and pays me a portion of the money that he got for it. Most of the jewelers offered me anything between a 50/50 to 70/30 split and I wasn’t that happy. Then I found Global Gold & Silver which offered me a 90/10 split! I got 90% of the proceeds and they handled all the expenditures and ad costs. And if your wife decides that she wants that piece of jewelry back and it wasn't sold yet - you can get it back.

If you’re stuck with a piece of jewelry and don’t really know what to do with it, or if you have any questions about selling, consigning or scrapping your jewelry, please don’t hesitate to call (212)-575-2975 or email Global Gold & Silver.
